Glamping in Auto Camp Russian River was the highlight of our California trip. When I told my husband about this concept he didn’t know what to expect but when scrolled through their website, he was convinced. We planned on staying there for 1 night while travelling to Yosemite National Park. We were there just to experience staying in an airstream.
During the check in process I was so enthralled by the facilities that I hardly felt like carrying my luggage to the room. It sure felt like so luxurious camp base with a Canteen, fire place, board games, showers, bon fire and few outdoor games. We checked in kinda late so we were right near the main area but the ones at the end of the property felt just like they were in the wilderness.
There were options available to stay in a luxurious tent or fully equipped airstream RV. We opted for the RV as that included the showers, for tents there were common bathrooms which were very clean, spa like and sophisticated. The airstream was spacious and modern which included a sofa, fridge, microwave and queen bed and full bath; isn’t that such a smart use of space. I could hardly believe it! They also had bikes for you to rent to around the town, but we couldn;t enjoy that as we had to leave for our next destination.
1. Being in wilderness but still with all the facilities
2. Having smores near the fire place outside our RV
3. Waking up nature; looking at blue sky and trees through the skylight above the bed.
4. Going on a morning walk to the river was right across the street.
I would highly recommend people to try Auto Camp if you are not a camping person. That would be one of your most memorable experience. And guess what, we are going to Colorado next week and we are staying in a tent. Can’t wait to show y’all the fun we have!
